CRYPTOLOGY

Thank you for reading (and experiencing) The Oxygen Age; snippets from a world that may or may not exist. It has been fun and enlightening to fill it with musings and rambles. I, however, really have been missing the sweet simplicity of the good, stupid, idealistic warm glow of a homemade video, of a small humble tv screen and the sound of old songs; so... See you in The Telephone and Television Age

CONCEPT EXPLANATION

If we could disintegrate the sum of who we are, body and sensations and reaction, to abstract energy, something that mirrors our 3d existence but in an unprecievable way, something which we cannot prove, then it is safe to assume the opposite is possible as well. We can objectify experiences that nor sight, hearing, smell, taste or touch can feel. We can personify abstract concepts which our senses, but not sensations, fail to pick up on and translate to a precievable frequency. Everything can exist in any form, as long as it did occur or spark into being (sprout if you will) once, despite our human limitation that keeps us from seeing it, or finding outlines around its being, clear enough to present it and prove its existence.

I can be an ache up from under your rib down to your hip, which nauseates you, and I can also be a fragment of a song, about three specific seconds. Grief is a man walking the streets on a grocery trip, and the time after a sunrise when we are either filled with dread or gratitude could be a half-full vase on someone's kitchen table. That table could be a family. We simply do not have the 'eyes'.

The death of an object leaves behind a concept, and birth traps the concept.

The Oxygen Age is a universal concept which is bound to dissolve out of people's constant awareness, undetected, due to lack of perception, which happens with age; but also because it is more effective in fragments, thrown about the world. Children, individuals who have little to no affiliations with it, or those whose minds read the patterns of reality differently, can see it clearer. The Oxygen Age can contain a multitude of different experiences, as long as they share a single defining feature. It could be anyone's age. The Oxygen Age possesses no awareness of its own nature, and only reacts to its effects on its environment and vice-versa. The Oxygen Age is totally devoid of self, but is used to shape, nurture and create it. The Oxygen Age is a piece of reality, -and reality is neutral and perfect outside of our narrow lenses- yet even by human standards, is a marvel to witness, is a piece of humanity by its own choice, is welcomed and celebrated, is cherished and feared and abused and mourned.

The Oxygen Age, though very specific and personal, is vague and impersonal; is no one's.
